As the owner and executive chef of Fine Food Cuisine, Alhagie “Al” Jallow’s thirteen (13) years of experience will now be shared with a broader range of clientele as he embarks on his journey into catering.
Commencing his culinary work at Perk’s Fine Cuisine in Harlem, New York, the heart of soul food, Al’s commitment to preparing delectable meals and nourishing the soul proved to be just the tip of the iceberg for Chef Al’s cultivating career.
Moving forward to become the executive chef at Iguana’s Restaurant, unduly known for its Mexican cuisine and located in the heart of New York City on Broadway, Chef Al gained further experience while exquisitely executing fine Mexican dining.
At a pivotal point in his career, Chef Al began training with Iron Chef Bobby Flay at his Bolo Restaurant in New York’s Flatiron district. While gaining experience in fine Spanish cuisine, Chef Al’s training resulted in the ingrained chef’s philosophy of taste, presentation and organization.
In addition, Chef Al worked for American celebrity Chef, Kerry Simon, infamous for his moniker, the “Rock n Roll Chef,” duly given to Chef Kerry Simon by Rolling Stone Magazine. Together Chef Al and Chef Kerry Simon opened Las Vegas themed Spotlight Restaurant in Times Square, New York. Having successfully trained the staff at Spotlight in fusing New York and Las Vegas flavors, Chef Al had arrived.
Now running his own flourishing kitchen for Fine Food Cuisine, Chef Al’s fine dining has been acclaimed by a vast array of clientele from celebrities like R&B singer Mary J. Blige and Hip Hop artist Fabolous to the thousands of patrons that have had the pleasure of being served from Fine Food Cuisine kitchen. His classic American cuisine has and continues to delight the palates of all Fine Food Cuisine patrons. Chef Al’s goal is to incorporate his wealth of experience and render quality products and services to his customers.
